Meet Dr. Katia Tikhonravova, Ph.D. LMFT, Clinical Director
My name is Dr. Katia. I was born in Tomsk, Russia and moved to the United States in 2007. I earned my M.S. (2015) and my Ph.D. (2018) from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) and became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I have been trained by renowned mental health teachers, like Evgeniy Terebenin and Yuliya Ivlieva.
Do not be fooled by my success. I invested a lot of time and resources in my education and individual therapy to overcome personal and family traumas. You can too! I have tried many methods, shared them with many clients and colleagues, and now I know what works best.
This knowledge led me to develop Eastern Family Therapy, a unique approach that blends evidence-based practices with Eastern philosophies of healing and connection. My team and I are here to share this transformative approach with you, guiding you toward healing, resilience, and personal growth.

Immigration evaluations
At the Eastern Family Trauma Treatment Center, we are a team of licensed mental health professionals—and immigrants ourselves. We understand firsthand the emotional weight, stress, and resilience it takes to navigate the U.S. immigration process.
We are credentialed to provide immigration evaluations in all 50 states, offering compassionate, culturally sensitive, and professional support for individuals and families pursuing hardship waivers, asylum, U visas, T visas, and VAWA petitions.
Our evaluation process typically includes at least three sessions to understand your background, complete thorough assessments, and carefully review documentation together. The total cost for evaluation, sessions, and documentation is $1,500.
As professionals who deeply respect U.S. legal requirements, we bring both clinical expertise and lived immigrant experience to ensure your story is told with accuracy, empathy, and integrity—always within the privacy of a HIPAA-compliant setting.
